CAROLYN LYSTER

Carolyn last appeared in the West End in Ray Cooney’s play Caught In The Net with Russ Abbot and Eric Sykes at the Vaudeville. Her other West End credits include It Runs in the Family at the Playhouse, Run for Your Wife at the Duchess, No Sex Please, We’re British with Michael Crawford at the Strand and The Bandwagon at the Mermaid.
She has played leading roles in theatres all over the country, including Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Oxford, Sheffield, Coventry, Newcastle, Sonning, Basingstoke, Farnham and the Chichester Festival, playing such diverse roles as Dame Pliant in The Alchemist, Blanche in Brighton Beach Memoirs, Gertrude in Hamlet, Phoebe in The Entertainer and Mrs Clackett in Noises Off. She has recently played the lead opposite Philip Schofield in The Lodger at Windsor.
She has starred in national tours of Run For Your Wife and Caught In The Net and nine tours of the Far and Middle East for Derek Nimmo and the British Airways Playhouse, visiting such exotic places as Guam, India, Bangkok, Korea, Oman and Mexico.
Carolyn has also appeared in Ray Cooney’s Company At Sea for P&O Cruises, travelling from San Francisco across the Pacific to Sydney and back. The year before she cruised from South Africa to South America and the Falklands and spent Millennium Eve in Antarctica!
She has recently appeared as Helen Aves in Heartbeat. Her other television credits include Casualty, Doctors, Coronation Street, London’s Burning, Yes Prime Minister, No Place Like Home, Divided We Stand, The Bill and The Professionals.
